ARTIST BIO

I am an artist from Dublin, currently based in Rua Red Arts Centre in Tallaght. My work, which is a study of light and its behaviour, takes the form of installations, sculpture and photography. I graduated from DIT, Portland Row in 2013 with a degree in Fine Art. Since graduating I have participated in exhibitions in Ireland, Europe, Asia and the USA.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My practice is concerned primarily with the phenomena of light, movement, perception and space. The work strives to observe and reveal the ecosystem that exists between the viewer and these intangible elements that exist in a perpetual state of transformation. Changes occurring in each element has a perceptible impact on the others, revealing previously overlooked properties and characteristics.

I am influenced equally by contemporary developments in physics and optics and by the historical developments of these disciplines. Architecture plays a huge role in the evolution of my installations as do technological advances in materials science.
